First time at Cedar Beach and enjoyed every bit of it! A staycation that felt like an actual vacation. It was about an hour drive from Howard Beach for us but we get a room Friday night-Sunday close y so we don't have to drive further and explore the town a bit. Entry for non-residents is $40 and free for Babylon residents but totally worth it. Just be sure to arrive earlier, it can get busy and while parking is ample, it can fill up. The beach itself and Salt Shack is clean and well taken care of. Salt Shack was such a lively and fun vibe. Plenty of outdoor seating on the sand with comfortable seats or picnic tables. Plenty of drink and food options. The staff are great, just overall great visitors and people all around. Definitely the go-to for weekends during the Summer!

lots of improvements to this place since my last visit.there are four large sitting areas one inside the restaurant another on the deck outside were there is a stage for entertainment, another large area on the beach with umbrellas and a beautiful roof deck.they also have a nice menu selection and the coconut shrimp and fries I had were good.the bar has a large selection of cocktails and beer and my rum Punch and wifey's margarita were delicious.

This place rocks !! Haven't been here since it was the Beach Hut and I have to say it's even better . Celebrated a birthday for a friend here recently . Weather early wasn't great so the band cancelled , but the DJ was terrific .Played requests and was upbeat and nobody missed the band . Fish and Chips Tacos Chicken fingers Chicken Avacado wrap Nachos Fried clam strips All were really great even for this sort of establishment . Yes you order at the counter and they give you a buzzer when your food is ready . It's not waitress service , but so what ??? It's not that kind of place . Mike was a bartender who I went back to several times . Quick , friendly everything a bartender could be . One negative My female companions said when using the ladies room after the attendant left that the water temperature at the sink was scalding and painful . Maybe check into that . Otherwise a great hang .
